Once again, you are spot on in succinctly expressing my deep feelings of grief relating to this tragic moment in history, which feels like an onslaught of arrows into the body and soul of this country.

We should treat the death of Roe like a mass shooting, with the now-ubiquitous "Here's What We Know About the Victims," info about how to help out/donate, and calls for action by our so-called "leaders."

No to pick pn it, but how did Texas ever come to such a poor pass?

You request that we write about greatness and opportunity in America to lift your spirits. Tough assignment during these awful times, but I'll try.

The Davis Mountains remain as wonderful as ever. The southern sea otter continues to thrive after having been thought to be extinct. Texas still has some great barbeque and Tex-Mex. I know some very smart and strong persons who can help us rebuild society.
