paxton, patrick, abbot, the trifecta of bum steers and deplorables. i always say, if it can be one way, well, then, it can always be another way. time for texas to find another way. vote. your life depends on it.
Nice work as usual. The corruption that Ken Paxton so blatantly (and proudly, it seems) displays is remarkable, even by Texas standards. And of course, it goes even further. The cruelty in his efforts to prevent Kate Cox from obtaining a medically necessary abortion is breathtaking. But I guess cruelty is the point if you’re trying to exert complete control over women’s bodies.
Oh, by the way, nice use of the word ‘poltroon.’ You just don’t see that word used enough these days. In this case it’s a perfect description.
I’m toying with the Fickle Finger of Fate as Deplorable #1. Strange I know, but how else do you get three of the most corruptible, cockamamie, flagrantly power-hungry elected officials in the top three offices of this state at the same damn time without some extraterrestrial intervention. We have three politicians doing nothing short of running on Make Texas White Again with the strong stench of Christian Nationalism trailing them like a lingering fart.
Actually, in your example, the Fickle Finger of Fate should be replaced with "Texas GOP Primary Voters," of whom it can be said that they should know better.
Most deplorable between Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton? Heavens. As I am bereft of Solomon's wisdom, I then go to height and weight. Obviously, Abbott is the shortest but his chair adds weight. I think Patrick is the tallest but he's not as paunchy as Paxton who likes to stick his belly out when hes venal gland puffs up I lean toward Paxton because he can look at you and not at you at the same time and I like that obviousness of a deceitful mien in a politician. But I hate to turn my back on Patrick because he has the slightest upturned nose, another facial expression of disdain placed there by an all-knowing God. Sir, I'm just going to have to give this issue more weighty thought and shall report back after a few inspiring bibulations. Suffice for now I must state I detest them equally and hope they are devoured by Satan.

It past time to bring in blood! Thank you Deece for the ups and downs of the Texas political insanity, none better!❤️

Your last sentence is superb. Thanks, Mimi!
😂😂Even better. Were Ms. Coleman still here, she would have had the pluperfect reposte, but I do the best I can. I’m enjoying your substack.
Thank you, Mimi! Happy Holidays!
Did you by chance cover the Austin Mayor’s Runoff?
Short answer: No. The longer answer may be a subject of future post.
Senior moment, I have no idea what I meant by my previous comment, “It past time to bring in blood”?
