Deece, what a nice remembrance of Governor Richards. At times there was a bit of tension between our bosses but then there was often tension with my boss and anyone who crossed him. After leaving the Capitol I was fortunate to have lunch with the Governor a couple of times.. She was funny, insightful and everything a Texas Governor should be. I wish she was still here.
She and Bullock did not always get along. Fortunately, Bullock had people like you to calm waters when you could — an invaluable legislative function. I was not much help with Bullock, but I'd like to think I kept lines of communications open between her and some of her fellow Democrats in the Senate.
Wow this is one of your best to date. A beginner’s looks at the life and times of my multi talented friend, trust me there is so much more.
Outstanding choice of music from one of the greats, Don Henley, brings back so many great memories.
Happy Birthday the one and only, Governor Ann Richards, I wish she was still with us, this corruption would not be going on!
She chose wisely when she picked you to be her adviser.
I’m Looking forward to Sept 5th and hopefully the end of one the stains on Texas history, Paxton must go!
Have a great time this weekend and take pictures.😘
You’re a good man, Deece Eckstein. Texas was a better place when Ann Richards was our Governor, and you were helping her run the state.
I will look forward to your daily recaps…thanks!
