Greg Abbott and Beto O’Rourke had the (for now) only debate of their gubernatorial matchup. Each candidate gained some voters, but most of us were left to ponder anew moving to another state.
Good to hear your voice again. I regret that gubernatorial debates seem less a reflection of differing views of governance and more a contest over perceived national partisan allegiances. Emigrating from Texas seems more important to me than I have felt in fifty years.
Gloria, thanks for listening, and for all your support for this little project. I enjoy what I do, but also love hearing from people who are reading/listening!

Thanks for listening, and for your feedback. I count on your support!
I suspect that the race is closer than the 7-9 points the public polls are telling us. More on that to come.
Well done. For me debate was more about how they said things, tone of voice and non verbal language.
Thanks for listening, and for your feedback! I am improving this part of my Substack, and counting on you for continued feedback and good ideas.
Both candidates performed better than I expected. They have very different ideas of who Texans are and what they need from their government.
This is so good Deece. Thank you for your voice.
