Bruce is one of those public servants who seems to be exerting his energies for the public good at a rate daunting to most of us. He is among those that have me doubting whether they sleep. We can't have good guys like Elfant as governor. This is Texas. We are 30 years into Republican rule and still swirling down the toilet. Let us praise good men and women of service, but not destroy their souls by having them deal with the Texas legislature.
Condemn us to the eternity (in this case, more than one day more) of Republican rule? What good is having a soul in such a vacuum? We The People shall rise up (except when it's time to vote) embrace myriad of positions and messaging, and continue to use hope as our marketing platform, thereby, together, righteously swoon from our collective anemia.
