Why would a Super PAC of Paxtons give Dan Patrick 3 Million dollars, other than, to manipulate rules of impeachment in the Senate?

In my experience, people who believe in good government give $50 or $100 or $250 to a candidate: enough to feel they could make some difference without expecting anything back. People who give $1 million or $3 million want good government, too, and they have a very specific idea of what good government they want — and they expect to get it.
