In my experience, people who believe in good government give $50 or $100 or $250 to a candidate: enough to feel they could make some difference without expecting anything back. People who give $1 million or $3 million want good government, too, and they have a very specific idea of what good government they want — and they expect to get it.
Psst! It’s August 8th, not 10th!

#TeamBribe.
Quack, quack.
I thought you'd say that!
I am shocked...SHOCKED...to hear that a contribution to a slimy politician may have less than honorable motivation!
"My friend, I hate to tell you this, but good government's gotten more expensive these days. It's gonna cost you!"
Well said!
There goes all hope of reform in Texas 2023.

Way to go my friend!
These players don’t care about Texas Penal Code, they are creating their own laws with money!
I wonder would this fall under RICO?
Why would a Super PAC of Paxtons give Dan Patrick 3 Million dollars, other than, to manipulate rules of impeachment in the Senate?
Perhaps to manipulate the Senate Impeachment Rules?

You are correct! In the world of the very wealthy everything has a price! And they are buying!
Sorry for redundancy at the end.
This whole thing is bananas!
Rotten bananas! Time to make banana bread.
Well done as always - the "Easter Eggs" section is priceless - a nice, stomach turning view of how low our leaders will go.
Thanks, Tim. You and I have both seen terrible things done under the guise of some very innocent-looking language.
Reminds me of one my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies - “Forget it Jake, it’s Chinatown …”
