The debate runs from 8:00 to 9:30 CDT. We’ll go live about 7:45 pm CDT.
The debate will air on ABC and stream on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu. In addition, other broadcast networks and channels will be simulcasting the debate, including Fox News, CNN, NBC, CBS and NewsNation.
The general rule is that presidential debates typically do not move the electoral needle much. Like so many things in this weird era of ours, that rule seems to be out the window in this election. The Conventional Wisdom is that the stakes are astronomical for Vice President Kamala Harris, because voters simply do not know her well. The stakes are much lover for former President Donald Trump, mainly because he’s a known quantity and the mainstream media has gone to great lengths to normalize his policy incoherence and cognitive decline.
If there was ever a debate that deserved to have a drinking game, this one is it. USA Today suggests some drinking games, as does the New York Post. Warning: the Post’s game will likely lead to toxic levels of alcohol consumption.
Debate bingo can also be popular, partocualy if combined with drinking. Here’s a bingo car from The Daily Mail:
Or try this one from the San Francisco Standard:
I am going to print out both bingo cards and see how I do.
