EXTRA! EXTRA! Paxton Impeachment Vote Set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday!
The most interesting place in Texas tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. will be the floor of the Texas House of Representatives. That's not something anybody would normally say.
UPDATE:
(via The Texas Tribune:)
The Texas House will consider the resolution containing 20 Articles of Impeachment for Twice-Indicted Attorney General Ken Paxton tomorrow (Saturday) at 1:00 p.m., according to a memo issued by the House General Investigating Committee this afternoon.
The memo proposed allocating four hours of debate, evenly divided between supporters and opponents of impeachment, with 40 minutes for opening arguments by committee members and 20 minutes for closing statements. A simple majority — 75 members — is needed to send the matter to a trial before the Texas Senate.
The memo also addressed arguments by lawyers with the attorney general’s office who called the committee investigation illegal because impeachment proceedings could not be initiated against Paxton for crimes alleged to have occurred before his last election in 2022. The memo said the so-called “forgiveness doctrine” did not apply in Paxton’s case.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, read my Substack post from earlier today here.
This has been a time-sensitive update from Life Its Ownself. Had this been a real emergency, you would have been instructed to go to an interior room in your home and remain there until Father’s Day.
